iGaming aggregator Infingame has released new operational insights into the commercial impact of gameplay speed, highlighting how faster reaction times and more consistent transaction processing are becoming measurable revenue factors for online casino operators.
According to the company, the financial value of speed extends well beyond a smoother user experience. Faster game launches, immediate platform responses, stable spin processing and consistent result delivery can affect how long players remain active, how many rounds they complete, whether they explore additional games and how effectively operators convert acquired traffic into sustained gameplay.
In this context, Infingame defines reaction time as the interval between a player action and the platform’s visible response. This can include the confirmation of a bet, the start of a spin, the loading of a new game, an updated tournament position, or the display of a completed Challenge.
While each interaction may involve only a fraction of a second, the cumulative impact becomes significant across high-volume casino environments, the company said.
Infingame’s aggregation infrastructure processes more than 10 billion transactions per month across a portfolio of over 16,000 games from 150+ providers. Analysis of this activity indicates that delays at any stage of the player journey can create cumulative friction that reduces the commercial value of a session.
“Speed is often discussed as a technical metric, but its real impact is commercial,” said Dmytro Kryvorchuk, COO at Infingame. “Players judge a platform by how quickly it reacts to every action. When they press a button, place a bet or move to another game, they expect an immediate response.”
“Every unnecessary delay interrupts the rhythm of play, and when that friction is repeated across millions of transactions, it begins to influence turnover, retention and the return operators receive from their acquisition spend.”
Reaction time is particularly important because players do not experience infrastructure as a set of separate technical systems. They experience a single casino brand.
A delay may originate from a game provider, an operator platform, an aggregation layer, a promotional engine or a local network connection. From the player’s perspective, however, the result is the same: the casino appears slow or unreliable.
Infingame recommends measuring reaction time across the complete player journey rather than analysing spin duration alone. A game may process rounds quickly while still delivering a slow launch, delayed bet confirmation, or inconsistent balance update.
Also, small delays create commercial losses at scale. A delay of a fraction of a second may appear insignificant in isolation. However, when repeated across every game launch, button press, bet confirmation, spin, result delivery and transition between titles, it can materially change the number of completed interactions within a session.
The effect becomes more visible among mobile-first audiences and players using unstable network connections. In these environments, slow server responses combine with device and connectivity limitations, increasing the risk that a player interprets technical delay as a frozen game, failed bet or unreliable platform.
Infingame’s operational observations show that speed-related friction is most commercially damaging at several points in the player journey:
-
the first game launch after entering the casino lobby;
-
the reaction immediately following a player action;
-
the transition between placing a bet and receiving the result;
-
balance and reward updates after a completed round;
-
movement from one game or provider to another;
-
periods of elevated traffic during tournaments and promotional campaigns.
The first launch is particularly important because it shapes the player’s immediate perception of the platform, said Infingame. A slow or unsuccessful opening can end a session before meaningful gameplay begins, wasting the acquisition cost already spent to bring the player to the casino.
Infingame expects gameplay performance to receive greater attention from commercial and product teams as operators look for growth opportunities beyond larger bonuses and continued content expansion. The company believes reaction time will increasingly influence supplier selection, lobby placement, campaign planning and the evaluation of aggregation partners.
Operators will also need to connect technical monitoring more closely with commercial data to understand how responsiveness affects deposits, completed rounds, session duration, cross-sell activity and player retention.
