Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has been officially listed by Uzbekistan’s National Agency of Perspective Projects (NAPP) among the laboratories whose testing and certification reports are accepted.
The listing allows operators and suppliers to use GLI’s certification reports to launch gaming products in the Uzbek market, providing a compliant path to market entry.
Uzbekistan’s gambling market has moved into its operational phase, with four licenses issued to two operators so far.
GLI said the listing represents a milestone for the company, establishing its position in Uzbekistan as an emerging Central Asian market and reinforcing its role as a testing and regulatory laboratory in newly regulated and developing jurisdictions worldwide.
Uzbekistan introduced its gambling framework on January 1, 2025, following Presidential Decree UP-68, issued in April 2024, which legalized online games of chance, bookmaking and lotteries.
In July, the regulator issued its first online gaming licenses — valid for five years, through July 30, 2031 — to Olimpbet LLC and Aurum Vale LLC.
GLI met with NAPP leadership earlier this month to discuss the new framework and align on how the company can support the market’s long-term growth. Because parts of the technical framework are still being established, GLI said it remains in active dialogue with NAPP as the rules are refined.
