SiGMA Group representatives presented the company’s Vision 2030 book to Dubai World Trade Centre leadership during a meeting focused on SiGMA’s growing presence in the UAE and its plans for the region. Mahir Julfar, Executive Vice President at DWTC, and Rakesh Nihalani, Director of Exhibitions, received the book on behalf of the venue.
SiGMA was represented by Marlene Murphy, Head of International Government Relations for Asia and Eurasia; Gunther Micallef Decesare, Chief Logistics Officer; and Lionel Gerada, Senior Logistics Manager.
The meeting comes as SiGMA prepares to expand AIBC Eurasia across two UAE emirates. The next edition will take place from March 15 to 17, 2027, at Festival Arena in Dubai Festival City and will, for the first time, dedicate a full day of programming to Ras Al Khaimah.
Ras Al Khaimah is seeing major hospitality investment alongside a push toward economic diversification. The Janu resort is now among the projects taking shape beside Wynn Al Marjan Island.
The UAE’s regulatory framework is also developing. The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority, the federal authority overseeing the sector, continued issuing technology and vendor licenses to international suppliers through 2026, adding to a framework that now spans Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Dubai.
Dubai has been part of SiGMA’s international calendar since 2021, when AIBC Eurasia became the company’s first international event outside Malta. The launch came when travel across much of the world had stopped, and Dubai was among the first global hubs to reopen its borders. The summit returned annually, reaching its sixth edition in 2026 and drawing more than 13,000 delegates to Dubai Festival City.
That expansion has also made Dubai a base for SiGMA’s relationships with government entities, business hubs, and international partners across the Emirates.
The Vision 2030 book covers SiGMA’s expansion into new regions, the growth of the SiGMA Foundation’s philanthropic work, the development of its flagship events, and the company’s plans for the next several years.
Founder Eman Pulis has described the book as being built around three audiences: operators and suppliers that work directly with SiGMA, the players and end users they serve, and the governments and regulators shaping the sector.
Pulis said: “We want SiGMA to be the most trusted source where those three pillars can converge”. Presenting the book to DWTC places the venue within the network of government, business, and industry relationships outlined in Vision 2030, he added.
With AIBC Eurasia set to operate across Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah for the first time in 2027, SiGMA’s discussions with institutions across the UAE are set to continue alongside that expansion.
