Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming are expanding their responsible gambling initiatives as part of Responsible Gambling Education Month (RGEM), with new education programmes, research partnerships and tools aimed at promoting healthier gambling behaviours.

Hard Rock is highlighting its PlayersEdge responsible gambling programme during the September campaign, which is led annually by the American Gaming Association (AGA) to promote gambling literacy, strengthen team member training and raise awareness of problem gambling resources.

PlayersEdge combines player education, team member training, research and intervention resources and is designed to support players across different levels of gambling experience.

Responsible gambling education has been incorporated into Hard Rock Casino and Seminole Gaming team member training since 2021, with the programme continuing to develop through partnerships with researchers, healthcare professionals and industry organisations.

Responsible gambling is about empowering players, team members, and guests with knowledge, research, and support so they can make informed choices that work for them,” said Paul Pellizzari, Vice President of Global Social Responsibility for Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming.

Through PlayersEdge, we continue to invest in innovative education, research, and training initiatives that help advance positive play while strengthening our ability to support guests who may need assistance,” Pellizzari said.

As part of RGEM, Hard Rock Casinos introduced its “Chance” campaign, which emphasises that gambling outcomes cannot be predicted or influenced.

Hard Rock also piloted the Almond Digital Health App at Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati. The multilingual and anonymous platform is designed to support healthier gambling behaviours and provide guests with access to additional resources. The company is evaluating whether to continue and expand the programme.

Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming have also become founding members of the Better Gambling Forum, a multi-sector coalition focused on evidence-based approaches to gambling and brain health.

Five Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming casinos will participate in research led by Michael Wohl and his team at Carleton University examining factors that may support or hinder responsible gaming initiatives. The study is independently funded by the International Center for Responsible Gaming.

Hard Rock has also released its latest Social Responsibility Report, “Amplified Impact,” covering responsible gambling, anti-human trafficking, environmental sustainability, workplace culture and community impact.
