The SiGMA Africa Summit will run from March 3 to 5, 2026, at GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World in Cape Town, South Africa, bringing together Africa’s iGaming, fintech, and digital entertainment sectors.

The summit, powered by Alea, targets operators, affiliates, suppliers, regulators, investors, and technology innovators looking to expand their presence across the continent. Delegates can expect a robust agenda of discussions on regulation, licensing frameworks, market entry strategies, payments evolution and broader tech trends shaping Africa’s digital economy.

A range of government officials and industry executives have been confirmed as speakers, highlighting the summit’s role as a platform for policy dialogue and collaboration between regulators and the private sector.

Among those scheduled to appear are Kitila Alexander Mkumbo, Minister of State for Planning and Investment of Tanzania; Matia Kasaija, Uganda’s Minister of Finance; Khabo Mantiti, Principal Secretary in Lesotho’s Ministry of Tourism and Culture; Sibongile Simelane-Quntana, Executive Director of the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation; and Ramon Glieneke, Chief Operating Officer at Alea.

Speakers are expected to cover topics ranging from regulatory oversight and compliance to esports and digital innovation in Africa’s evolving gaming ecosystem.

More than 250 sponsors and exhibitors are expected to participate in the summit’s exhibition hall, showcasing products and services from licensed operators, platform providers, game developers, and fintech firms.

Prominent exhibitors include Digitain, Altenar, Booming Games, EvenBet Gaming, EveryMatrix, TaDa Gaming, Pragmatic Play, and SOFTSWISS. African-focused innovators such as Bitlipa, SMSala Technologies LLC, Uroc Studio, and Win Win Partners are also expected to participate, alongside supporting technology providers including Sumsub, SkyPhoenix, and Optimove.

The summit will feature a Startup Village designed to give emerging companies an opportunity to present their solutions, meet investors, and gain exposure within the African tech and gaming ecosystem. Organizers say the initiative reflects SiGMA’s focus on supporting innovation and new entrants to the industry.

Delegates will also have access to networking lounges and VIP experiences aimed at facilitating business meetings and partnerships. VIP attendees are expected to receive concierge services, priority registration, and curated introductions to key industry figures.

During the event, the SiGMA Africa Awards will recognize achievements across categories such as platform excellence, regulatory leadership, product innovation, and affiliate performance. A live charity auction will also be held, with proceeds supporting projects by the SiGMA Foundation, including initiatives focused on education, women’s empowerment, and community development in Africa.

Several side activities are scheduled alongside the main summit. On March 3, attendees can join the SiGMA Golf Tour Africa at King David Mowbray Golf Club. Premium and platinum ticket holders will also be able to attend the Sip and Safari Experience in Durbanville, featuring vineyard tours and wine tastings.

On March 4, the Sunset Wine Experience will be hosted at Quoin Rock Wine Estate, followed later by an iGathering dinner at The Hussar Grill, where industry leaders are expected to meet informally.

The summit will conclude on March 5 with the Gaming Regulators Africa Forum, a high-level meeting held in partnership with SiGMA that brings together regulators and industry stakeholders to discuss the future of gambling regulation across Africa, followed by a networking lunch.

Organizers said the event aims to serve as a strategic hub for businesses seeking opportunities in African markets, combining policy discussions, commercial exhibitions, startup engagement, and networking into a single platform focused on the continent’s gaming, fintech, and digital commerce sectors.
