California’s Jamul Casino Resort President and General Manager Mary Cheeks will step down after leading the property since 2018. Cheeks oversaw the resort’s growth and expansion, including the development and opening of its boutique hotel.
During her tenure, Cheeks focused on organisational development, operational performance, guest experience, community engagement, and strengthening the resort’s leadership capabilities.
“Leading Jamul Casino Resort through this important period of growth and transformation has been an extraordinary privilege,” said Cheeks. “I am proud of what our team has accomplished together, particularly the evolution of the property and the successful opening of our hotel.”
The Jamul Indian Village Development Council (JIVDC) thanked Cheeks for her leadership and contributions to the organisation.
“Mary has played an important role in the growth and evolution of Jamul Casino Resort,” said Erica M. Pinto, Chairwoman. “We appreciate her years of leadership, commitment, and contributions to the organization and wish her continued success in the next chapter of her career.”
Cheeks is a longtime gaming and hospitality executive who has held senior leadership positions across multiple US gaming markets.
