Irish band The Script will headline the opening night of SBC Summit 2026 in Lisbon on Sept. 29, as the betting and gaming industry event prepares to welcome 40,000 professionals.
The multi-platinum-selling band will perform at the SBC Summit Opening Party at Lisbon’s Pavilhão Carlos Lopes. The event, powered by 1xBet, will mark one of the largest artist bookings in the summit’s history.
The Script has six UK No. 1 albums, 14 billion streams and five million album sales worldwide. The band is known for songs including “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved”, “Breakeven”, “For the First Time” and “Hall of Fame”.

The Opening Party has become a regular feature of SBC Summit, bringing attendees together on the first evening for drinks, live entertainment and networking.
The Script rose to international prominence with its self-titled debut album in 2008, which topped the charts in the UK and Ireland. The band followed with “Science & Faith” in 2010, which also reached No. 1 in both markets and peaked at No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200.
Its 2012 album “#3” included “Hall of Fame”, the band’s first UK No. 1 single. The group has since released “No Sound Without Silence” in 2014, “Freedom Child” in 2017, “Sunsets & Full Moons” in 2019 and “Satellites” in 2024.
In 2026, The Script released “Man in the Arena”, announced a new world tour and released “The User’s Guide to Being Human” on Aug. 14.
The opening party will begin a week of networking events available to attendees with VIP, Networking or Business passes, as well as Affiliate Leaders Summit VIP pass holders.
SBC Summit will conclude on Oct. 1 with INFINITY Lisbon at the MEO Arena, featuring EDM artist Tiësto, Dutch duo BlasterJaxx and Marc Vedo.
The summit will run from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena, with organizers expecting about 40,000 industry professionals from betting, gaming, payments and affiliate marketing.
The Opening Party has a capacity of 3,000 guests. Entry for eligible pass holders will be subject to capacity, while guests with VIP Area Opening Party wristbands will have guaranteed access.
