iowa Casino Properties has raised its minimum wage across its three casinos and hotels in Oklahoma to a region-leading $12.57 per hour, announced the company on Wednesday.

Effective since August 16, 2021, team members enjoy nearly double Oklahoma’s minimum wage, plus Kiowa’s benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage; company-paid life insurance; free 401K matching; and over three weeks of paid time off in the first year of employment, reports Texoma’s Homepage.

“Many of our team members have happily served at Kiowa for over 10 years,” remarked Jon Peters, Chief Operating Officer. “With our wage increase, we’re not just leading the region and state as a great place to work, but also offering our sincerest gratitude to the members of the Kiowa family.”

According to Kiowa Casino Properties, the company is “always seeking enthusiastic, friendly” team members who are “eager to make a difference in the community” in a variety of roles. These include positions in hospitality, information technology, security, and marketing. Kiowa currently has open applications across its casinos in Carnegie and Verden, and Kiowa Casino & Hotel in Devol.

“Kiowa Casinos believes in taking care of those who take care of our equally valued guests,” said Evan Mills, Director of Human Resources at Kiowa Casino Properties. “That means ongoing reviews of our wage scale to stay competitive, offering one of the best benefit packages in the area, and providing a supportive, fun-filled environment like no other.”

Last month, July 9, Kiowa Casino & Hotel held their 13th Annual Hometown Heroes event, presenting checks from their annual Hometown Heroes program to beneficiaries, including non-profits, local fire and police departments in the area.

The event was part of Kiowa’s Community Initiative to give back a portion of gameplay to make a difference in the community. “As many first responders and non-profit organizations continue to struggle with decreased funding, it’s an honor to be able to step up and help,” said last month Director of Marketing Callie Singh.

Kiowa Casino & Hotel collected about $47,000 in 2021, with checks to be presented to 16 local agencies. Over the past 13 years, players have helped Kiowa Casino & Hotel give more than $310,000, reports 7 News.
