The forthcoming 2023 sports calendar, featuring the return of leagues like the NFL, NHL, and MLB playoffs, has generated considerable excitement and amid this backdrop, PlayAlberta.ca has revealed its plans to introduce an upgraded sportsbook, to enhance players’ sports betting options.

PlayAlberta.ca has entered a long-term partnership with BtoBet. This collaboration is intended to drive growth and improvements for the platform’s sportsbook, promising a more comprehensive experience for users.

Vice President of Gaming at AGLC, Dan Keene, emphasized the platform’s dedication to continual enhancement: “Our team at AGLC continues to seek ways to improve all aspects of PlayAlberta.ca. Partnering with BtoBet broadens sports betting options for users on Alberta’s only legal gambling website. Soon, players can choose from various new pre-game props, in-game bets, or unique same-game parlays.”

The upcoming enhancements will introduce a range of features, including player props across major North American leagues such as NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA.

Moreover, the new sportsbook will offer single-game parlays, wider market coverage, additional leagues, increased outright bets, and novel promotional options, including boosted odds and parlay multipliers.

NeoGames, the parent company of BtoBet and a joint venture owner on NeoPollard, plays a pivotal role in maintaining PlayAlberta.ca. This extended partnership ensures that the platform’s player experience remains of high quality across various aspects.

The revamped sportsbook will integrate AGLC’s responsible gambling initiatives, including GameSense and Self-Exclusion. This integration will empower players with dedicated features that encourage responsible gambling habits, incorporating mechanisms such as bet, loss, and daily session limits.

As the migration process to the new sportsbook provider unfolds, a brief interruption to the sports betting service eas held between August 12 and August 14, 2023. However, during this period, players will continue to have access to their accounts and all other Play Alberta games.

In the fiscal year 2022-23, the province’s general revenue fund received a substantial boost of $1.5 billion from net gaming income originating from various provincial gaming activities.
