SiGMA Group has announced that it will hold its second event for the African continent in Cape Town, South Africa, next year. The 3-day summit, set to run between the 11th and 13th of March, will be held in the Sun Exhibits Integrated Resort at GrandWest, which is just “a stone’s throw away” from the cosmopolitan port city’s center.

The second edition of the SiGMA Africa expo and conference follows on from a successful inaugural launch in Kenya this year, which was held in its entrepreneurial heart, Nairobi, at the start of 2023.

A rapidly expanding market, South Africa offers an attractive setting, with the long-awaited introduction of a remote gambling bill opening the doors to new opportunities in the sector,” SiGMA says.

The event will host a conference agenda led by experts which promises a “wealth of insights,” with discussions centered around the transformative developments sparking fresh interest in the regulatory landscape. It will also feature a pitch competition that will aim to “bring bright ideas front and center,” connecting new startups with leading investors and VCs.

Engage with influential figures on the gaming circuit, from high-ranking government officials to influencers and policymakers, explore cutting edge products across a carefully curated expo floor, and establish new partnerships with prominent investors, startups, and affiliates,” the company said in a press release.

With many African countries leading the pack when it comes to mobile gaming, sports betting, the blockchain and other tech developments, the SiGMA Conference will bring together leading figures in the iGaming world for 3 days of networking, panels, workshops as well as awards, the organizer said on its website.

Cultural tours for the event will open at the start of the event on the 11th, which will proceed to an evening lineup of VIP dinners, as well as a gala awards. Nominations for the SiGMA Awards open in February 2024.

SiGMA Group noted that early bird tickets are available via its website, with free registration for its affiliates.
