Renowned NFL quarterback Dan Marino, a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and former Miami Dolphin, is slated to participate in the upcoming SBC Summit North America, headlining a keynote panel that will offer insights into his career and philanthropic endeavors.

Scheduled to kick off the ‘Industry and Growth’ track, the Audience With Dan Marino keynote is set to inaugurate the second day of the iGaming and sports betting event. Hosted at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in New Jersey, the summit is scheduled to run from May 7th to 9th.

In a moderated Q&A session, Marino, a 2005 Hall of Fame inductee, will delve into his journey as a professional athlete, sharing anecdotes from his tenure with the Miami Dolphins and shedding light on his advocacy work with the Dan Marino Foundation, along with his views on the wider sports industry.

Dan Marino said: “I am honored to be a keynote at the upcoming SBC Summit North America. During my time playing in the ’80s and ’90s, social media was nonexistent, and media publications very rarely provided personal accounts of playing in such a league.

This will be a fantastic opportunity to shed light on some of the behind-the-scenes action, as well as the necessary mindset required to compete in such a competitive league.”

Hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Marino rose to prominence during his collegiate years with the Pittsburgh Panthers, where he showcased his talent as a quarterback. Over his college career, Marino amassed 8,597 passing yards, 79 touchdowns, and 69 interceptions.

Upon joining the Miami Dolphins in 1983, Marino quickly established himself as a rising star in the NFL, setting numerous records and earning accolades such as the NFL’s Most Valuable Player. Notably, Marino led the Dolphins to a Super Bowl appearance in 1984, cementing his status as one of the league’s premier quarterbacks.

Throughout his 16-year career, Marino garnered widespread acclaim for his on-field prowess, becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to surpass 50,000 career passing yards. Following his retirement in 2000, Marino transitioned to a successful career as a football analyst for CBS’s pregame show The NFL Today.

Beyond his sporting achievements, Marino has been a dedicated philanthropist, founding the Dan Marino Foundation in 1992 to support children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Over the years, the foundation has contributed over $22 million to research, services, and treatment programs.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & Founder of SBC, said: “During the 2023 edition of SBC Summit Latinoamérica, we had the privilege of partnering up with the Dan Marino Foundation to host a fundraising raffle. It is amazing to be able to continue this relationship, welcoming Dan as a keynote speaker for SBC Summit North America.

Dan is a hugely influential figure, both in the sporting world and with his charitable organization. The keynote address will no doubt provide delegates with a unique and exciting opportunity to hear personal accounts from one of the sporting greatest.”
