iGaming software provider SOFTSWISS will host a LinkedIn Live panel on 29 April from 14:00 to 15:00 CET that will examine why many casino operators hesitate to launch sportsbooks despite strong growth in sports betting.
The upcoming discussion, titled “What Stops Casino Operators from Launching the Sportsbook: Myths vs. Reality,” will focus on whether common concerns are justified or overstated. The session will feature specialists from data analytics, esports betting, industry media, and sportsbook product development, aiming to separate real operational challenges from misconceptions shaping operator decisions.
Key perceived barriers include operational complexity, audience overlap between casino and sportsbook users, bettor value and retention concerns, margin volatility, and integration risks and technical constraints.
The panel will bring together voices from across the ecosystem, including representatives from Oddin.gg, Bambi Data, Revpanda, and SOFTSWISS Sportsbook. Participants will explore the topic from multiple perspectives, with the goal of offering operators actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Olga Resiga, Chief Business Development Officer at SOFTSWISS, said: “We bring together unique experts who each add value to this conversation from a different angle. We want operators to concrete, experience-led perspectives they can apply to their own evaluation process.
“Our goal is to help operators reach their goals in regulated markets, and hosting this kind of open industry dialogue is part of how we support operators beyond the technology itself.”
The event is open to all iGaming professionals, with free registration available via the LinkedIn event page. Ahead of the session, attendees are invited to submit questions, with selected topics to be addressed live by the panel experts.
